How to clip in Remy human hair extensions

Step 1: Brush your hair

Use a nice and soft paddle brush to comb your natural hair and make sure there are no tangles.

Step 2: Start with a 3-clip bundle

Using a finger or comb, separate a thin, straight section of hair at the nape of your neck and clip the rest of your hair at the top of your head with a large claw clip. Take a 3-clip bundle and brush it out by starting from the bottom.

Find the center of your head along the sectioned-out piece of hair and clip the middle clip into the roots of your hair to make it easier and to prevent the clip from sliding down too far, tease the hair at the root a bit.

Once the middle clip is in place, clip the left side and then the right while making sure the bundle is as taught as possible against your head.

Step 3: Take a small, 4-clip bundle

Separate another section of hair about an inch above the first section where you just applied a bundle and secure the rest of the hair away with your hair clip. This section should be at about the top of your ears.

Brush the bundles out, again starting from the bottom and working your way to the top.

At the middle of your head, clip in the middle two clips into the roots of your hair first, and then follow by clipping in the side clips. You can tease the hair along the root line here too if you’re worried about the clip-ins falling out.

Step 4: Using the largest bundle

Separate another section of hair about an inch above your ears and clip the rest of your hair onto the top of your head.

As this should be the largest section of your head, you’ll be using the largest clip-in bundle at this point. Repeat the steps of brushing the bundle, teasing your roots and clipping in the extension tightly against your hair line.

Step 5: Take the second 3-clip bundle

Separate a straight thin section of hair about an inch above the last section that you placed and clip the rest of your hair away.

Finding the centre of your head – you guessed it! Brush the Remy human hair extension out, tease your hairline and clip into place!

Step 6: Take the smaller bundles

The smaller bundles are the ones that go on the sides of your hair to give it that finished, full-volume look.

Part your hair about two inches above each ear and clip the hair away from the area. Brush the bundles first and tease your root line if necessary

Take one clip and attach it to your hairline as close to your face as you can. The second clip should be attached as close to the back of your head as the bundle allows. Do this on both sides of your head.

Step 7: Grab the 1-clip bundles

Finally, grab the remaining 2-clip bundles and clip them right above the last bundles you placed above each ear.

Look in the mirror and gently brush your hair to ensure that your XI Hair clip-in extensions are perfectly blended!
