Fix a Dry and Itchy Scalp
One of the easiest and most effective ways to treat a dry and itchy scalp is to use products that contain silicone oil or panthenol. Not only does silicone oil to hydrate and balance your hair and scalp, but it also functions as a protectant against cold, harsh winter air. Panthenol, on the other hand, keeps your hair and scalp well-hydrated by binding moisture to your locks.

Sweating and sunburns dehydrate your body while the lack of moisture in the air will too. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water in order to stay healthy from head to toe.
Causes of Dandruff
Dandruff can be the result of a tons of different things. Some factors include skin characteristics (particularly oily), improper shampooing, and general scalp sensitivity. Skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and malassezia (a fungus that tends to feed on oils from the scalp) will cause dandruff too, especially when left untreated.
